A 6mm or longer screw will contact the PCB or cable underneath and can short the drive; a 2mm will strip. If you already have M.2 retention hardware from a prior build, don’t reuse it — those are a different thread pitch. The sled is not included. Use these with the tray that shipped in your chassis, or with a refurbished HP tray if yours is missing.
